Streets of Philadelphia
The Liberty Bell. Try and get a decent picture by the bell on a Saturday, I dare ya! Warning: watch out for the Asians, they'll shove you aside . . .
Inside Christ's Church where several of the founding fathers worshiped. The tour guide here was amazing!
Inside Independence Hall where the magic happened.
Me and Kendra ouside Indepenence Hall.
Fall!
Philly!
They ran up the Rocky steps in the middle of the pouring rain! Luckily I did this the last time I was here, so I could stay dry . . . I mean take the pictures. :)
Like you don't eat a Philly Cheesesteak when in Philly!
Mmmmm! Cheesesteak, cheese fries, and a diet coke . . . Such a healthy meal, I know.
So good though!
Dan and Kendra on the way home!
Dave and me on the way home!
Philly 3 times?! And I haven't made it to NYC yet . . . What the? Don't worry I'll remedy this by January 31st, the day my bus tickets expire.

Teach Your Children
Ingrid can recognize Ingrid by both sight and sound!
Also, for the rest of the day I heard her singing "Oh, oh, oh!" as heard here.

Septemeber
September was a great month! So many fun things happened that I always meant to blog about, but I never quite made the time to follow through. Seeing as we're almost halfway through October I figured it's best not to it off any longer. So here you have it, the highlights of September.
The 9/12 March
I'll be honest, I didn't know too much about the reasons behind the march before I showed up that morning, but I figured how many opportunities do you have to walk right down the middle of Pennsylvania Avenue alongside 2 million-ish other people? So I went. Since then I've formed several thoughts on several things regarding the march, but I won't go into it here. Instead I'll just show you the pics.
The protesters: Jonathan, Stephen, April, Dan, Dave, Kendra, Me
Getting closer to the capitol.
I thought this was too funny. Silent No More . . . Really? Because it doesn't look like you're making too much noise.
The humor in this one was was purely by chance . . .
Ingy turned 4!!!
We celebrated by going out to lunch before ballet, then afterwards getting a "cherry" and eating cupcakes. Let me clarify, I had a cupcake, Ingrid had frosting.
I went and got Ingy a princess balloon while she was at her ballet class. The look on her face when she came out and I told her it was hers was adorable!
Me with the birthday girl!
The Ingrid Michaleson Concert
or "The Other Ingrid" as Ingy puts it.
I went with a bunch of friends from my ward to see the one and only Ingrid Michaleson. Of course it was phenomenal, I don't expect anything less from this woman. I honestly don't think it's possible to go to one of her shows and not walk away a bigger fan than before. And lucky me, I'm going again Nov. 4th!
Ingrid Michaelson performing some new stuff.
The whole gang singing You and I: Dan Romer, Elliot Jacobson, Greg Holden, Ingrid Michaelson, Chris Kuffner, Bess Rogers, and of course Allie Moss
The highlight of the night for me? Okay, so there were several, but none quite as exciting as when she brought Greg Laswell out to sing a new song they wrote together. This better make it on to a record! You can listen to it here. Trust me, you'll wanna check that out. :)
Oh, and once again the music gods have smiled upon me and Greg Laswell will be one of the openers for the show in November. I love my life! Greg Holden, the opener whom I adore! He's the other opener for the November show. Can't. Wait.
Kendra, Greg Holden, and Me
Dan, Mary Beth, Kendra, Me outside the 9:30 Club
More shows . . .
David Mead at the Jammin Java (my home away from home)
The Brilliant Inventions. Opened for Dean Fields. They were very entertaining. And attractive.
Dean Fields! I saw him do an acoustic show at the end of July and loved his stuff. This time around the band was there too. It was every bit as good! And I may have a little crush on the drummer.
The Gang: Dan, Dave, Kendra, Me
The Gang and Dean
All in all, September was a pretty great month! October's not half bad either. Maybe I'll consider posting things a little sooner this month. Maybe. :)

Summer Town Pt. 2: The Pictures
The trip was quite eventful for Matty, he lost a tooth and learned to ride a bike! And let me tell ya, this kid roasts a mean marshmellow!
Ingy is a little fish, she loved going to the beach!
The Knutson's were nice enough to fly Spencer out to Nantucket for the better part of a week. It was so much fun, despite the fact that it made me realize how much I miss him.
One night we had ourselves a photo shoot. We paid for it too, the mosquitos were out in FULL force.
Karen and Kent were out of town for a few days while Spencer was in town, so we took the kids to the beach and had ourselves a good time. We played in the water, built a kingdom in the sand and turned Ingy into a mermaid.
This is just a small glimpse of the beauty of Nantucket . . .
We had a pirate party with all of Matt and Ingy's friends who were there (I'd guess close to 30), hence the pirate cupcakes I decorated and the costume Ole is wearing. We went to a demolition derby one weekend, don't worry, no BMW's were harmed! We saw several seals at the beach, unfortunately I didn't get any super great pics, but I tried! Then of course there were the puzzles! I believe this one was a "more than 500pieces" one. And the only puzzle I did that didn't belong to Ingrid. And then there's the horse shoe crab that Ole was scared of! Seriously, it was so funny to watch him circle and bark at the empty shell! :)
All in all, Nantucket was great! It's sure good to be home though! :)

It's hard to say that I'd rather stay awake when I'm asleep because my dreams are bursting at the seems . . .
A friend on facebook updated her status with some lyrics to this song and it reminded me of how much I love it. It's not something I would typically be drawn to, but it was a free download on itunes in July and I remembered a friend telling me about this guy, so I got it. I didn't listen to it for a few weeks, but when I did I became a tad obsessed (hard to believe, I know). It's a fun little song with interesting lyrics. I actually ended up buying the album. And I really like it.
The music video's code was disabled, but here's the link if you want to check it out. It features a Speak and Spell, gotta love that!
P.S. This guy has a song about going to the dentist that cracks me up. Love it.
